Your children will feel at home

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE
All the students receive 24-hour personal attention; this makes them feel at home, enjoying all our programmed activities with great self-confidence. We have a group of professionals dedicated to the exclusive task of looking after the children and making them feel at home.

For each 10-12 students we assign a designated teacher, a room instructor and assistant, all of them supervised by an activity supervisor, a head of instructors, a director of studies and the school principal. These are highly qualified, experienced and sensitive personnel who attend to each student's individual needs. The instructors are in charge of the well-being of the students during leisure activities, during lunch and dinner breaks, swimming pool or beach activities and during the night.

HEALTH
The importance of medical assistance is constantly emphasised in our programmes. Each centre has an infirmary for minor first aid services and is in contact with local medical centres and hospitals. All our students are covered by an accident insurance and a civil responsibility insurance policy.

DINING
We offer a varied and nutritionally balanced menu. We serve four daily self-service meals; students are free to have more than one helping. We also offer special catering for the evening parties or special occasions. The days we have excursions, we have very complete packed lunches. We can cater for a range of dietary requirements - from vegetarian to gluten intolerance - and our chefs are always happy to respond. Please notify the school principal in advance so we can arrange the most appropriate menu.

DUTIES
The students must learn to make their own bed and have a tidy and clean bedroom. Each morning there’s a room inspection to make sure that the students have completed their morning duties. Personal hygiene is very important: a shower is compulsory every morning and after sports activities. Inspectors carry out periodical inspections on personal hygiene. Duties are small responsibilities or assignments for each student; they are aimed at encouraging the smooth working of our schools and to help children take on daily routine and assignments.

LAUNDRY
We have a laundry service at our disposal which collects clothes during the course and returns them clean and folded in an individual bag. We highly recommend putting small name tags on clothes.

TRANSFER SERVICE
English Summer S.A. offers a transfer service for those families who can’t travel to our schools. We recommend that you phone our central offices for more information.

TELEPHONE-FAX-E-MAILS-MOBILES
We encourage contact with family and friends during their stay with us, we have a controlled telephone and mobile system which they can make use of. To avoid possible interruptions in class or sports activities, we distribute phone calls to a limited timetable. We also recommend parents to restrict calls to emergencies only, preferring correspondence by fax or e-mail, which is delivered to the students. We bet they’ll love to receive a letter!

BANK
In order to make sure that students don’t need to carry money during their stay, we dispose of a personal account system applied to telephone calls, purchases in our bar and shop and “pocket money” for excursions. This way they learn to administrate their expenses.

RELIGIOUS SERVICES
All the school attends Sunday mass, but those families who prefer their children not to attend stay at the school under supervision of their instructor.

BIRTHDAYS
Those students who celebrate their Birthday with us with have a very special “Happy Birthday” party and they’ll receive our most sincere congratulations.

FIRST DAY
Once you arrive at the school, you’ll be handed a programme indicating where to park the car and which table to go to meet your instructor, who will explain step by step what you have to do.

END OF TERM PARTY
The last day, when parents come to pick up their children, we have an end of term party:
1. We recommend that parents take the children’s luggage or, if the party has already started, to collect it after the ceremony.
2. The ceremony lasts one hour approximately; starting with the Olympic Game closure parade and the handing out of sport trophies and medals. Later we hand over the diplomas, certificates and results of each class. And finally, we’ll sing the end of term song and have a farewell appetizer.
