Some summers go by quickly.
And others leave a lasting mark.
As we write these lines, most of our camps are already filled with that very special atmosphere that signals the end of summer. Suitcases are starting to be packed, groups are counting the days they have spent together, and goodbyes are getting closer. Only Tamarit will continue living a few more weeks of magic with the English Alive Camp, proving that summer still has plenty to offer.
But before closing another chapter, it is worth taking a moment to pause and look back at everything we have experienced.
Because this summer has been more than just a succession of activities. It has been a summer full of firsts.
First friendships that seemed impossible on the day of arrival. First nights away from home. First conversations in English without being afraid of making mistakes. First moments of discovering that you are much braver than you ever imagined.
For weeks, our camps have been filled with laughter from the very first thing in the morning until the last “good night”. English classes have become spaces where learning has felt as natural as playing, while the afternoons have been packed with sports, swimming, workshops, team challenges, outdoor games and activities designed so that every child could find their own moment to shine.

The evenings, as always, have played a very special part.
Themed parties, dance contests, shows prepared by the students themselves, music, costumes, lights and stages that, for a few hours, transformed the camp into anywhere their imagination could take them. This summer, we have once again seen that you don’t need a big stage to create unforgettable memories; all you need is a group of friends ready to have fun.

We have also enjoyed excursions, adventures, sports challenges, water activities to beat the heat, arts and crafts, team-building activities and those little moments that never appear on a schedule, but end up being the most important ones: a conversation before going to sleep, a hug when someone missed their family, the excitement of overcoming a challenge or the satisfaction of helping a friend.
Because this is English Summer.
A place where English is learned by speaking, playing and living it. Where every activity has an educational purpose and every monitor becomes someone the children can look up to. Where learning and having fun have never been two separate things.
This summer has also reminded us of something we have seen time and time again for more than four decades: children can change in just a few days.
They arrive nervous and go home with confidence.
They arrive without knowing anyone and leave with friends from different cities.
They arrive depending on their families for almost everything and return much more independent, responsible and confident in themselves.

And that growth doesn’t only happen during the big activities. It happens over every shared meal, during every game, in every conversation and every night when someone realises that they already feel at home.
None of this would be possible without the families who, once again, have trusted us to be part of such an important stage in their children’s lives. Thank you for allowing us to accompany them during part of their summer and for trusting our team to look after them, teach them and make them feel part of something truly special.
And thank you also to all our teachers, monitors, coordinators, kitchen, cleaning, maintenance and nursing staff, as well as the management team. Behind every smile is a team that has spent weeks giving their very best to make sure every detail goes according to plan… or even better.
Now comes the time to say goodbye.
To exchange phone numbers, take that final group photo, promise to see each other again and get into the car with the feeling that one week can change so many things.
Because camps come to an end.
But friendships continue.
Confidence stays.
Memories last forever.
And we are already starting to count the days until we can experience it all again next summer.
See you at English Alive in Tamarit… or see you next summer!
