We participated in the IV ANEACAMP Congress 2026

At English Summer S.A., we drive the present and future of educational leisure

On the occasion of the 4th National Congress on Leisure and Free Time organised by ANEACAMP, held in Zaragoza on 28, 29 and 30 January 2026, we actively participated in one of the most relevant gatherings in the educational leisure, camps and residential activities sector in Spain.

This congress, which brought together professionals, organisations and experts from across the country, was held under the motto Leading the present, changing the future, a statement of intent that truly reflects the values we share as an organisation.

Over three intensive days, the main current challenges facing educational leisure were analysed, addressing key issues such as labour regulations, process digitalisation, camp safety, educational quality and the overall wellbeing of children and young people. It was an essential space for reflection, knowledge sharing and continued progress towards an increasingly professionalised, safe and innovative model of educational leisure.

A key meeting point for the educational leisure sector

ANEACAMP Congress 2026 consolidated its position as a strategic forum for all entities committed to the continuous improvement of the sector. Throughout the event, spaces for dialogue and reflection were created, enabling the exchange of experiences, best practices and future perspectives, and reinforcing the importance of coordinated and responsible collaboration.

For English Summer S.A., taking part in this type of event is essential, as it allows us to remain aligned with the real needs of the sector, anticipate changes and actively contribute to the development of high-quality educational leisure focused on the wellbeing of children and young people.

First day: strategy, shared vision and sector cohesion

The first day of the congress was devoted to ANEACAMP’s Ordinary General Assembly, where strategic lines of action, the new State Framework Agreement and the annual budget were presented. These sessions made it possible to analyse the current context of the sector, the progress achieved and the challenges that still lie ahead.

This working space was key to strengthening a shared vision based on professionalisation, improved working conditions and the quality of services offered in camps and educational leisure activities. The day concluded with a team-building activity designed to strengthen bonds between organisations, foster trust and consolidate a solid network of collaboration at a national level.

Second day: regulation, digitalisation and management efficiency

The second day of the 4th ANEACAMP Congress focused on fundamental aspects of the day-to-day management of educational leisure organisations. Regulatory developments, efficiency in time tracking and the need to adapt management models to an increasingly demanding and changing environment were addressed.

One of the highlights was the round table on digitalisation, which analysed technological tools applied to the educational leisure sector. Digitalisation was presented not only as a way to improve organisational efficiency, but also as an opportunity to optimise communication, ensure process traceability and strengthen the safety and quality of activities.

Technical presentations were combined with opportunities for social interaction and networking, as well as a cultural visit around the city of Zaragoza, creating a friendly atmosphere that encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences among professionals.

Third day: youth wellbeing and safe environments

The final day of the congress focused on one of the most relevant aspects of educational leisure today: the overall wellbeing of children and young people. Special attention was given to digital wellbeing, a highly topical issue, analysing the impact of technology use on the educational and social experiences of participants in camps and residential programmes.

The study on the psychosocial impact of camps and residential activities was also presented, highlighting the role of educational leisure in the emotional, social and personal development of children and young people. This type of research reinforces the importance of continuing to invest in leisure activities with an educational, inclusive and high-quality approach.

Progress on the Safe Camp project was also shared, an initiative aimed at strengthening food safety, prevention and action protocols in educational leisure activities. Ensuring safe and healthy environments is a priority for the entire sector and a firm commitment of English Summer S.A. to families and participants.

The day concluded with the presentation of the ANEACAMP 2026 Awards, which recognised outstanding initiatives in sector values, educational innovation, inclusion and diversity, highlighting the effort and dedication of organisations working daily to improve educational leisure.

English Summer S.A.: an active and committed role

As founding members of ANEACAMP, English Summer S.A. played a particularly significant role in this fourth edition of the congress, reaffirming our commitment to the growth, professionalisation and development of the educational leisure sector.

Our managing director, Felipe Fleix, also Vice President of the Camps and Residential Activities sector of Acellec (Catalan Association of Leisure, Education and Culture Companies), was appointed representative for Catalonia within the new ANEACAMP Regional Commissions. This appointment strengthens our active role in territorial representation and strategic decision-making at a national level.

Meanwhile, Carolina Fleix, co-managing director of English Summer S.A. and board member of the International Camping Fellowship (ICF), officially announced the celebration of the 13th International Camping Congress (ICC), to be held in China in 2026. This announcement marks a milestone for the international projection of the camping and educational leisure sector, strengthening global connections between organisations and fostering knowledge exchange at an international level.

Committed to innovation and the future of educational leisure

Our participation in the 4th ANEACAMP Congress 2026 reaffirms English Summer S.A.’s commitment to educational innovation, camp safety, high-quality training and the wellbeing of children and young people. We firmly believe in the value of educational leisure as a tool for personal, social and emotional growth.

We will continue working alongside ANEACAMP, Acellec and other sector organisations to lead the present of educational leisure and build its future, always through collaboration, responsibility and continuous improvement of our activities.
